Dan Travis is a co-founder of the Brighton Salon that is now a regular feature on the Brighton cultural scene, with speakers invited from across the UK to introduce and debate topics ranging from Western views on China to the changing nature of friendship. He has been active in campaigns to bring back school sports day, lift the ‘drinking bans’ in Brighton and to abolish the CRB check. As well as being a frequent contributor to spiked he has published a Manifesto Club Thinkpiece entitled In Defence of Competitive Sport. With a day job as a tennis coach, Travis also delivers coaching programmes to children in Brighton and Hove. |
