Abdul Rehman-Malik

Abdul-Rehman Malik is an award winning London-based journalist, educator and organiser. He is currently programmes manager for the Radical Middle Way, an organization that provides – in the UK and around the world – powerful, faith-inspired guidance to enable change, promote social justice for all and create resilience to exclusion and violence. His work has spanned the UK, Indonesia, Pakistan, Sudan, Mali, Morocco, Singapore, Canada and Malaysia.

A veteran journalist, Abdul-Rehman currently contributes to BBC Radio, regularly offering contemporary perspectives on spirituality for Radio 2’s flagship breakfast show and presenting documentaries – past and forthcoming – for Radio 4 and the World Service.

Abdul-Rehman has a keen interest in harnessing cultural capital for social change. Since January 2015 he has been Director of the Insight Film Festival which celebrates, exhibits and encourages filmmakers throughout the world to make films that explore faith. He is currently working on a global initiative to network and cultivate Muslim cultural leadership.
