Dr Tim Young

Tim Young is visiting fellow in the Economics Department of York University, where he taught from 2004 to 2006, covering portfolio management and monetary economics. Previous to that, Tim worked at the Bank of England from 1988 to 2004, where his last job was as Trading Manager (i.e. head portfolio manager) responsible for the UK foreign exchange reserves (investor in G3 bond markets).

Tim began his career working as a government statistician in Whitehall at H.M.Treasury and is currently working on a book on foreign exchange reserves and other writing on central banking and finance.
