Battle for Energy

Energy is something we often take for granted, but increasingly it is a cause of anxiety not just for governments and business leaders, but individual consumers too. We are warned that traditional fossil fuels are not only scarce, but harmful to the environment, adding urgency to the search for alternatives. Can energy be made clean, or is the only solution to use less of it? Could nuclear be the answer? As well as worrying about the size of our bills, householders are encouraged to reduce our ‘carbon footprints’, but can individuals really make a difference? What is the future of energy?
