Adam Rawcliffe

Adam works on both the Battle of Ideas festival and Debating Matters Competition for the Academy of Ideas. From 2010-2014 he attended the University of St Andrews, completing an M.A. in Modern History with a particular focus on the emancipation of black slaves in Scotland. Adam competed in and won the 2010 Debating Matters National Final with Hutton Grammar School, going on to achieve success in the International Final against the Indian champions. He is an avid footballer and star-striker and founding director of Black Squadron FC. Adam is also an ardent West Ham United and Seattle Seahawks supporter.
