Dr Jon Rohrer

Jon Rohrer is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine Council and is also a member of the RSM’s Trainees Committee. He is a trainee Neurologist and neuroscience researcher.

After a first in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University where he specialized in Psychology he then trained in Medicine at Oxford University and University College London. Following qualification in 2001, he completed his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) examination and subsequently undertook a PhD in neuroimaging and neuropsychology of dementia at the UCL Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, publishing over 30 peer-reviewed papers in the field. He also has a degree in Philosophy. He continues in his clinical Neurology training currently.

He has been involved in the RSM for the last ten years, initially on the Students and then Trainees Committees and he is currently also a member of the RSM Council. He has an interest in medical education and has written a revision guide for medical school finals and also for the MRCP exam. He also has an interest in evidence-based medicine and, in particular, its application to neurological practice.
