Virginia Ironside

Virginia has written and published fifteen books- some for children, some novels, some self-help. her recent book, No! I Don’t Want to Join a Bookclub – a diary about a 60-year granny – was extremely successfully, selling to fiften countiries and reachiing No 5 in the German bookcharts.

At the moment, Virginia writes a weekly column for the Independent, Dilemmas, and a monthly column for the Oldie called Granny Annexe. She currently spends a lot of her time doing a one-woman show (first performed at Edinburgh Fringe last year) called The Virginia Monologues, Why it’s Great to be Sixty) based on her latest book.
