Harry Rich

Harry Rich has been Chief Executive of the Royal Institute of British Architects since November 2009.

He was previously Chief Executive of Enterprise UK, increasing entrepreneurship in the UK, and Deputy Chief Executive at the Design Council. Harry has lead and developed businesses in industrial distribution, retailing and publishing.  He has been a keynote speaker at business conferences around the world and trained as a commercial lawyer. 

Harry is a governor of the University for the Creative Arts and a member of the international advisory board of the US-based Design Management Institute. He was a non-executive director of the Advertising Standards Authority, served on the Press Complaint Commission’s Charter Compliance Panel, was Chair of JAT – the Jewish sexual health charity - and a Justice of the Peace
