Laura Agustín

Laura Agustín is a lifelong migrant and sometime worker in nongovernmental and academic projects on sex, travel and work. Anthropologist of Europe and author of Sex at the Margins: Migration, Labour Markets and the Rescue Industry. Laura is known worldwide for her outspoken critique of moral entrepreneurs who have turned a minority experience and subcategory of migration, trafficking, to a major crusade. Her concept of the Rescue Industry has been taken up by people everywhere who resist the victimisation of poorer people and marginalised workers. She blogs regularly at Border Thinking.
