Zead Ramadan

Mr. Ramadan currently serves as chair of the Board of Directors for the Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz Memorial, Educational and Cultural Center and the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA), an umbrella organization for artists and art groups in Washington Heights and Inwood. Mr. Ramadan has been an active member of his community for many years, serving for nearly a decade on his local community board and a five year term on the Board of Directors for the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone (UMEZ).

As a Washington Heights and Inwood resident from 1971, he attended district public schools, and City College before transferring and graduating from Stony Brook University (SUNY) with a B.A. in Political Science. He worked at Weil, Gotshal & Manges (an international law firm) in New York City as a financial coordinator from 1989 to 1996, with a 1 & 1/2 year stint at the Silicon Valley, CA office in 1995 & 1996.
