Adrienne Loftus Parkins

Adrienne Loftus Parkins is the UK’s leading independent curator, consultant and producer of live events focused on contemporary Asian and developing world literature. She works with publishers, galleries, museums, libraries, entertainment venues and media to promote the understanding of cultures through their writing and to encourage discussion of timely issues.

With a 20 year career in marketing, Adrienne lived and worked in Canada, India, Singapore, China and the US, before landing in the UK in 1999. In 2002 she established a literature programme at Asia House in London and in 2006 founded, and continues to direct, the Asia House Festival of Asian Literature – the only festival in the UK dedicated to writing about Asia and Asians, from the Persian Gulf to the Pacific. The Asian Word was established in 2008 to reach a broader audience Britain and Asia.  Adrienne co-founded Anamika, a women’s educational group in India, is a charter member of the Pan Asian Women’s Association and works as a cross cultural consultant to businesses.
