Miss Glory Pearl

Part clown, part acrobat, part showgirl, Miss Glory Pearl creates genre-defying acts that blend classic burlesque, pole dance, static trapeze and aerial hoop with humour, sparkle, and a healthy dose of British self-deprecation.

She began pole dancing in 2005 and performing professionally in 2008, and won a Best UK Newcomers award at the 2009 London Burlesque Festival. She is a member of the Equity Pole Dancers’ Working Party, one of the founders of UK Pole Dance Day, teaches for a number of leading companies, including Pole Dancing School, Rock ‘n’ Roll Pole, Ministry of Burlesque and Burlesque Baby, and is sponsored by X-Pole, the world’s leading dance pole manufacturer.

A versatile performer with acts ranging from the laugh-out-loud to the quietly sinister, and from the classic to the deeply dangerous, Miss Pearl has performed at prestigious venues across the globe and is a regular feature of the UK burlesque and cabaret scene.

Miss Pearl isn’t afraid to call herself a feminist, something she believes is entirely compatible with taking her clothes off for a living.

The great population debate: too many carbon footprints?

"Nine out of ten these debates hit the right balance between heated argument and useful exchange between people who wouldn't usually be talking to each other. An extremely stimulating environment."
