Pat Thomas

Pat Thomas is a well known journalist, campaigner and author specialising in environment and health. She is a former editor of the Ecologist magazine, author of dozens of books for adults and children. She was the campaign director for Paul McCartney’s Meat Free Monday helping to launch the campaign in the UK. 

Pat has hosted Resonance FM’s Deep Fried Planet series, and her book Stuffed, produced for the Soil Association, is a wide ranging look at what needs to be done – from the garden shed to the halls of Westminster – to prevent a global food crisis. She most recently acted as campaign manager for Compassion in World Farming’s campaign against the proposed Nocton mega-dairy in Lincolnlshire. The campaign won the organisation a coveted Observer Ethical Award for Campaigner of the Year 2011 by overwhelming public vote.
