John Sutherland

John Sutherland is Emeritus Lord Northcliffe Professor of English Literature at University College London. Twice on the Booker Prize committee, in 2005 as chairman, he is a regular columnist in the press and writes regularly for The Times, Telegraph and Guardian.

John also appears frequently and literary critic on radio and television. His books include How to Read a Novel, a bestselling trilogy on literary mysteries, and the autobiographical chronicle Last Drink to LA. He lives in London.
