Sue Matthias was appointed Editor of the FT Weekend Magazine in June 2010. She is a former Assistant Editor of the Independent on Sunday, Deputy Editor of the New Statesman and Acting Editor of the Guardian Magazine.

Sue has wide experience across the media industry, from broadsheets to the mid-market – she was Associate Editor of the Express from 1998-2001 – and also online: from 2003-2005 she was Head of Editorial Standards at AOL UK. As a magazine consultant she has worked with a range of titles, from Eve Magazine to Reader’s Digest. Sue has appeared regularly on BBC TV as a newspaper reviewer, and speaks about the media in debates and panel discussions. She is on the advisory board of the campaigning and networking organisation Women in Journalism.
