Carl Pickering

Carl Pickering has a BSc degree with honours in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, an MBA from Bradford University and a PhD in Automotive Human Machine Interface (HMI) design. Carl is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).

He currently works in the Jaguar Land Rover Technical Research Department in Coventry, UK, as Head of Electrical/Electronic Research leading a team of Research Engineers develop a wide range of new technologies and features for future production vehicles. In collaboration with automotive component suppliers, development partners and Universities, Carl and his Research team follow a rigorous process to convert ideas into prototype concepts and onto innovative commercially viable production solutions.

With over 25 years experience in research and technology development, Carl is named inventor on a wide range of international granted patent applications and is named author on many journal/conference paper publications.
