Tanya Morrison

Tanya is International Government Relations Manager with a focus Climate Change issues. In this role, she leads advocacy with the UNFCCC and other international bodies as well as coordinating advocay in the key countries where Shell operates.  Shell recognises the challenge of climate changes and advocates for market mechanisms to give a clear carbon price to help energy systems shift to low carbon solutions like natural gas, financial for CCS demonstration projects, and use of biofuels to lower the CO2 impact of road transport.

Tanya has worked for Shell since 2001.  She recently led on CO2 advocacy in the UK and earlier Downstream external relations in the UK, covering refineries, supply, distribution and retail.  She has also been Regulatory Affairs Manager at Shell Gas Direct, a natural gas shipper and supplier to business customers. Before joining Shell, Tanya was an Economic Adviser at Ofgem, the gas and electricity regulator, and policy adviser at the Gas Consumers Council.  She has an MSc in Economics from the University of London, with a focus on environmental economics and BA in urban geography from the University of Alberta, Canada.  She has also worked for Friends of the Earth Trust in their projects and communications teams and been a housing researcher at South Bank University.
