Lloyds Scholars Programme: Student Champion 2012

Lloyds Scholars is a unique social mobility programme run by Lloyds Banking Group. Partnering with leading universities across the UK, we offer young people from lower income households a complete package of financial support, paid work experience and the opportunity to develop their employability skills. The programme is focused on giving students across the country a great start in life and helping them realise their potential.

That’s why we support events like the 2012 Battle of Ideas Festival. The event promotes free thinking and innovation, encouraging people to explore new ideas and challenge them through open and honest discussion.

This year, the Lloyds Scholars Programme is offering half-price weekend tickets to the Battle of Ideas Festival for full time students. We want to encourage young people to attend the event, be part of the debate and help shape our future by gaining a better understanding the world we live in and how we can change it for the better.

They know what we're thinking?

"The Battle of Ideas does what it says on the tin, providing a rare platform for a robust exchange of views on some of the biggest issues facing our world at a time when it is desperately needed"
Wes Streeting, chief executive, Helena Kennedy Foundation
