Dan Atkinson

Dan Atkinson was financial correspondent, the Press Association from 1985-1990 and financial correspondent at the Guardian from 1990-2000, before joining the Mail on Sunday as economics editor in 2000.

He is the author (with Larry Elliott) of three books:  The Age of Insecurity (Verso; 1998), Fantasy Island (Constable; 2007), and The Gods that Failed (Bodley Head; 2008).

His latest book Going South: Why Britain Will Have A Third World Economy By 2014 was published by Palgrave Macmillan in June.
