Brian Hill

Brian Hill is an award winning director of documentary and drama.  Most of his films have a strong element of social justice and he has tackled subjects as diverse as climate change, domestic abuse, the prison system, poverty, teenagers in care, alcoholism and so on.  He invented the genre of documentary musical with films such as Drinking For England and Feltham Sings.

Hill’s films have been shown at festivals all over the world.  Apart from directing, Hill is also the MD of acclaimed production company, Century Films.  In that role he produces and executive produces films for other directors.  Most recently the company had a huge success with the BBC2 history series, The Secret History of Our Streets.  Brian Hill is currently working on the screenplay of a feature film as well as developing a number of documentary projects.  Away from work, Hill is an avid cricket fan and has recently made evident his mid life crisis by purchasing a fixed wheel bicycle for his London commuting.
