Igor Toronyi-Lalic

Igor Toronyi-Lalic is the arts editor at the Spectator and co-director of the London Contemporary Music Festival. Igor is a critic, curator and documentary film-maker. He has written extensively on the arts for, among others, The Times, the Sunday Telegraph, the Spectator, the Economist, London Evening Standard, Gramophone, Opera and Building Design. He is the author of What’s That Thing?, a report on public art.

He’s made programmes on contemporary culture and society for Channel 4 and Radio Three, curated a music festival, ‘50 Years of Minimalism’, which is touring Europe, and is the co-founder and classical music editor of theartsdesk.com, Britain’s first professional arts critical website.
