Thais Portilho

Thais is a journalist with nine years of experience as well as a commentator. She is published in the UK and Brazil, contributing to a range of publications, including the Guardian, Independent on Sunday, Spectator and CNN International.

Thais is the former Hacked Off Campaign co-ordinator. After leaving Hacked Off, she set up Justice Across Borders, a political campaign on EU criminal law which turned into a registered charity offering assistance to victims of serious crime abroad.

Before joining Hacked Off, Thais was a senior news reporter on several local papers including the Streatham Guardian. She currently works as a campaigns and public affairs consultant in the third sector.
