Alexandra Heminsley worked in publishing for six years before becoming a freelance author, journalist and broadcaster. She is the books editor for Elle UK magazine, the Claudia Winkleman Arts Show on BBC Radio 2 and Nemone’s 6music breakfast show, and was the Book Club Expert on Sky 1 Series Angela & Friends.

She is a regular contributor to Red magazine, the Independent on Sunday, the Guardian and BBC radio 5Live, among others. She was a judge for last year’s Costa Novel of the Year award.

She was the author of Ex & the City: You’re Nobody Til Somebody Dumps You. Her running book, Running Like a Girl, will be published next year in UK to coincide with the London marathon and in the US to coincide with the New York marathon.
