Andy Richardson

Andy Richardson has worked at Jaguar Land Rover for over 25 years.
Andy began his career as a Body Engineer but subsequently worked up to start his senior management career as Head of Vehicle Packaging and Analysis. He moved to Ford headquarters, Detroit in February 1999 where he was senior manager of Jaguar Vehicle Programme Engineering leading Jaguars - PD Engineering team in Detroit.

In December 2000 he became senior manager of Jaguar Advanced Engineering with overall responsibility for developing vehicle concepts for new Jaguars. In June 2003 Andy became Vehicle Engineering manager for a new vehicle platform.

Currently, as “Head of Simulation”, Andy has overall responsibility for Jaguar Land Rovers simulation strategy building leading edge capability in simulation across all vehicle systems and attributes. Andy’s team coordinates this strategy across 1000 engineers delivering Computer Aided Engineering and Systems Simulation solutions including toolset strategy, processes, methods, standards, best practices, skills and hardware. Andy is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and holds a degree from Coventry University, an MSc in Numerical Methods from Aston University and an MBA from Warwick University Business School.
