Michael Reiss

Michael Reiss is Pro-Director: Research and Development and Professor of Science Education at the Institute of Education, University of London, Chief Executive of Science Learning Centre London, Honorary Visiting Professor at the Universities of Birmingham and York and the Royal Veterinary College, Honorary Fellow of the British Science Association and of the College of Teachers, Docent at the University of Helsinki, Director of the Salters-Nuffield Advanced Biology Project, an Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences and a Priest in the Church of England.

He was Director of Education at the Royal Society (2006-08) and Specialist Advisor to the House of Lords Select Committee on Animals in Scientific Procedures (2001-02). His research and consultancy interests are in science education, bioethics and sex education.
