Dr Gunn Enli

Dr Gunn Enli is Associate Professor at Department of Media and Communication, University of Oslo, Norway. She is the head of the international research project ‘The Impact of Social Media on Agenda Setting in Election Campaigns’, which examines the role of Facebook and Twitter in the US, Australian, Norwegian, and Swedish election campaigns.

Enli is the co-author of four books in Norwegian, and is currently concluding her work on two books for the international market. The first is on Nordic Media and the global expansion of companies such as Nokia and Schibsted. The second is about mediated authenticity, an the trust relation between producers and audiences.

Her publication list includes book chapters in several international anthologies, published by for example Oxford University Press, and Lexington Books. Her work has appeared in journals such as Media, Culture & Society, Television and New Media, Javnost, Media History, Convergence and European Journal of Communication.

Enli gives public talks on social media and election campaigns, and she frequently appears as an expert in Norwegian news media.
