Dr. Bernard Enjolras is Research Director at the Institute for Social research. He is director of the Center of Research on Civil Society and Voluntary Sector. He is the head of the project Social Media and the New Public Sphere supported by the Norwegian Research Council and of the project Monitoring Freedom of Speech in Norway supported by the Freedom of Speech Foundation (Fritt Ord).

Bernard Enjolras has extensively published on civil society and civic participation He has recently co-authored a book in Norwegian Liker-Liker ikke: sosiale medier og sivilt engasjement (Like- don’t Like: social media and civic engagement).
