2013 Programme: Battle for our minds
Is addiction a life style choice or a medical condition? Why is cocaine illegal and Ocean Snow is not? Is it simply down to the different physical nature of the two drugs or do we think there is an important moral difference between involved in their use? When it comes to the claims of neuroscience to know what’s best for baby, should parents stand down any moral objections they might have? Or risk the consequences of going against the consensus? What about new sex education in schools, with lessons in relationships and online porn? Necessary updating of curriculum or intrusive colonisation of young minds?
