Scientific facts are one thing but what are scientific ‘truths’? When we rely more and more on statistics and models and bigger and bigger data is there a danger of losing sight of what this might all mean? It may be a fact that fires burn trees or that more food than you need gets stored as fat. Does that mean you shouldn’t play with matches or eat fries?
