Andrew Old is an experienced teacher of 12 years, having taught across a range of schools in the Midlands. He first came to notoriety whilst blogging on Scenes from the Battleground about behaviour issues in Britain’s secondary schools, documenting the common frustrations of classroom teachers when a school’s behaviour policy is just not up to scratch. 

Most recently, he has become known for holding Ofsted to account over the tyranny of the preferred Ofsted teaching style; the seemingly arbitrary way in which lessons are graded; rogue inspection teams; unfathomable downgrading of ‘Good’ schools, and its detrimental effect on teachers nationwide.
