Shyama is currently Acting Director of One World Media, which funds, teaches, and awards best practice reporting of and from the developing world. Her background in journalism spans national newspapers, radio, and TV, and she still freelances across the spectrum. She has authored three well-received novels, a history of contraception, and a short play (her theatre reviews blog is monkeymatterstheatre.com).
