Maria Tabak is a graduate of the Russian State University for the Humanities (PhD in Philology) and the University of Cambridge (MPhil in European Literature). She started her journalistic career as a producer and presenter of Echo of Moscow radio station. She worked as a UK Chief Correspondent of RIA Novosti in London in 2007-2009 before moving to the US. She worked as US Correspondent of RIA Novosti in Washington DC for 4,5 years before moving back to London.
