For many newspaper and TV editors around the world who send some of their best journalists to report from London, it is the battle of political and economic ideas here that drives much of the news agenda. Might Scotland actually vote for independence? Is it really possible that the UK could leave the European Union? What role could the Commonwealth have in addressing global concerns on security, economic growth and the environment? Of course the Foreign Press Association has to be involved in the Battle of Ideas.

"Five debates a day sounds a bit daunting beforehand, but I really loved it. The speakers are so knowledgeable and passionate about their chosen topic, and the amount of time dedicated to questions from the audience was great as it really brought in alternative views."
