Sam Adlen

Sam is Head of Business Innovation for the Satellite Applications Catapult. 
The Satellite Applications Catapult is an independent innovation and technology company, created to foster growth across the economy through the exploitation of space. 
At the Catapult Sam is responsible for supporting businesses and driving innovation.  Following a PhD working on a NASA Mars satellite he has worked as a consultant focusing on satellite applications, held senior roles in Finmeccanica, been Lead Technologist for Space at Innovate UK and has co-founded two start-ups the use satellite technology.
Sam is also leading the STARHub initiative at Catapult, creating a knowledge-sharing platform and resource for organisations wishing to understand, exploit and promote opportunities for satellite enabled applications in emerging markets.
