Ashutosh Khandekar has been Editor-in-Chief of Rhinegold Publishing’s Opera Now magazine since 1997 and is a director of C Sharp, a consultancy that helps to organise and promote cultural activities between the UK and India. Ash was born in Mumbai, India, and raised in Hong Kong, Bangkok and the United Kingdom. He combined a degree in English with a choral scholarship at New College, Oxford. As well as his work as a journalist and broadcaster, he is a trustee of a number of arts organisations including the Iford Festival near Bath and Second Movement Opera. He is also on the judging panel of various singing competitions, including the Les Azuriales Competition in Nice and the Vienna-based Belvedere Competition.
