Ross is currently head of campaigns & communications for the Scottish Green Party and a lead candidate for the Scottish Parliament elections in 2016. A party member since 2009, he ran the Green Yes campaign for last year’s independent referendum in addition to his role as Communities Coordinator for the umbrella Yes Scotland campaign. In this role Ross was at the core of building the Yes campaign’s grassroots network of local and sectoral groups, including the youth campaign Generation Yes. Previous to his work for the Yes campaign Ross was a Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament and led on the Votes@16 campaign in Scotland, the success of which in the referendum has seen the franchise permanently extended for Scottish Parliament & local elections. He is also active within the Church of Scotland & a Debating Matters alumnus. | |
