Determined not to let his international endeavours affect his professional pursuits, Nitin has remotely managed his responsibilities and successfully executed multiple multi-million dollar infrastructure projects in India, established teams and processes, and pioneered international partnerships.
Nitin recently cofounded iTrucks® PLC, a company that aims to increase efficiencies in the trucking and logistics industries in emerging markets, through the introduction of advanced connectivity of and data sharing between devices, information-systems, services and stakeholders without human intervention. The company, incubated out of the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute, recently won the Yale ‘Internet of Things’ Prize.
An avid debater and MUN-er, Nitin has participated in and won various awards at multiple national and international competitions and Model United Nations conferences: The Oxford International MUN, the Asia-Pacific MUN Conference and the Harvard Model United Nations Conference to name a few. In 2011, Nitin founded the Debate Club Foundation, in consultation with the British Council in India, and the Academy of Ideas, UK. The Foundation, today, one of the most robust high-school student-run not-for-profit organisations in India, conducts two annual events: ‘The Bait’, a debating championship that has grown to become a widely covered national event, supported by national and international leaders and corporates including the TATA Sons Ltd. and NDTV-Hindu, and ‘The Changemakers’ Conference’ a unique service project that connects high-school social entrepreneurs to venture capitalists and donors.
