![]() | Barbara Hackenschmidt was born in the former East Germany on May 1st 1955. She studied pedagogics and worked as a teacher until 1993. She joined the SPD after reunification. From 1995-1999 she was office manager for Dr. Regine Hildebrandt (Social Minister in Brandenburg, often called the “voice of the East” who died in 2001). Barbara Hackenschmidt is also an active member of the Church Synod and has dealt with the issue of assisted suicide from this perspective. |
