Argentinean–Norwegian Alexandra Archetti Stølen has worked as the festival director of the Oslo World Music Festival since 2006. She is the president of the European Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals for the third consecutive period. She has worked all over the world, building festivals and projects (including India, Lebanon, Mozambique and South Africa). In 2013, she started the Beirut & Beyond International Music Festival in Lebanon, an annual music festival taking place in December. She was also the initiator of the project ‘Our Neighbourhood’, a festival concept in Norwegian asylum centres.
She has background as a professional tango dancer, speaks several languages and studied journalism in Argentina and Oslo.
