Tarjinder Gill
teacher, advisor and consultant
Tarjinder Gill studied British and EU politics as an undergraduate at Leicester University before completing an MPhil in political science at Trinity College Dublin.
Her experience of teaching undergraduates led to her decision to train as a primary school teacher. This included teaching in inner-city schools in areas of high socio-economic deprivation in Birmingham, Leicester and London.
Over the past year, she has turned to blogging focusing on the failure of progressive methods in education and making the case for a more traditional, academic education for all. Her other interest includes evaluating the role of identity politics and the role of the regressive left. As well as her own blog, she has written for spiked and Labour Teachers. She has recently given talks at the Wellington Festival of Education and ResearchEd.
