Deana Puccio
co-founder of The RAP Project, Raising Awareness & Prevention Project

Deana Puccio is a former Senior Assistant District Attorney from New York City. She worked in the Sex Crimes/Special Victims Unit of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn. As a sex crimes prosecutor she worked on cases involving adult, teenage and child victims.

In 2012, she Co-Founded The RAP Project, Raising Awareness and Prevention, which aims to help teenagers minimize the risk of becoming a victim of sexual attack or vulnerable to excessive social media pressures. The RAP Project is now working in over 100 schools around the UK. 

Deana attended New York University, where she received her undergraduate degree in political science, her Master’s Degree from The Graduate School of Political Management at The George Washington University, and her Juris Doctorate Degree from The City University of New York Law School at Queens College. Through her work with The RAP Project she has appeared as an expert commentator on Sky News. She is the co-author of book Sex, Likes & Social Media, Talking To Our Teens In The Digital Age

She is married and the mother of three daughters living in London.
