Dr Mina Toksoz
emerging markets economist; writer specialising in Turkey, Russia and the Middle East

Dr Mina Toksoz is an emerging markets and country risk consultant. Her current associations include honorary lectureship at the University of Manchester Business School, associate fellow of International Economics at Chatham House (RIIA), and independent director on the Supervisory Board of the EIU Country Risk Service. She has many years of experience working in investment banking including over a decade as head of country risk at Standard Bank International; prior to that she worked at the Economist Intelligence Unit. She has a D.Phil. in Economics from Sussex University, BA from Bosporus University, Istanbul, and has written and speaks widely on emerging markets – with a special focus on Turkey, Russia, and the Middle East.
