Professor Ian Hunter

Ian Hunter, who publishes as I.Q. Hunter, is Professor of Film Studies at De Montfort University, Leicester, and has published widely about cult, trash and exploitation films, as well as adaptation, British cinema and the New Hollywood of the 1970s. He is the author of Cult Film as a Guide to Life (Bloomsbury 2016) and British Trash Cinema (BFI/Palgrave Macmillan 2013), editor of British Science Fiction Cinema (Routledge 1999), and co-editor of 11 books, including Pulping Fictions (Pluto 1996), Trash Aesthetics (Pluto 1997),Controversial Images (Palgrave Macmillan 2012), and The Routledge Guide to British Cinema History (2017). He is currently co-writing a book on the cult British biker-zombie-horror film, Psychomania (Auteur 2017).
