Isabel Russo

Isabel is responsible for managing the network of accredited humanist celebrants that conduct over 10,000 non-religious funerals, weddings and naming ceremonies annually. She has spoken and written about the need for non-religious ceremony and also about emerging rituals in contemporary society, on a variety of platforms. Isabel is also an experienced celebrant, having taken over 500 ceremonies, including both Victoria Wood and Doris Lessing’s funeral ceremonies.

Isabel was a professional actress for 20 years and has always been interested in the role of ritual and story telling in sense-making at key life events.
