Dr Simona Storchi
lecturer in Italian; deputy head of the School of Arts, University of Leicester

Simona Storchi holds a PhD from University College London. She is currently a lecturer in Italian and the Deputy Head of the School of Arts at the University of Leicester. Her research interests include Italian and European Modernism and Avant-Garde, early 20th century art, literature, architecture and design, Italian culture under Fascism and fascist architectural heritage in contemporary Italy. Among her recent publications, Back to the Futurists. The Avant-Garde and its Legacy (ed. with Elza Adamowicz) (Manchester: MUP, 2013); Beyond the Piazza. Public and Private Spaces in Modern Italian Culture (ed.) (Peter Lang, 2013) The Great War and the Modernist Imagination in Italy (ed. with Luca Somigli), themed issue of Annali d’Italianistica, 33 (2015).
