Michael Goldfarb

Over the last three decades Michael Goldfarb has reported from more than 20 countries on five continents on conflicts, conflict resolution, and culture for, among others: BBC, NPR, Guardian, Newsday, Washington Post and Politico. He has written opinion pieces for the New York Times, Washington Post, Daily Telegraph, Guardian and Independent.

Since leaving the US in 1985 to live in London he has frequently returned to report on changes there for the BBC, most recently on Trump & the Politics of Paranoia. His World Service series Homeward Bound won a Sony Award. His book on the Iraq war, Ahmad’s War, Ahmad’s Peace: Surviving under Saddam, dying in the new Iraq was named a New York Times Notable Book of 2005. He is also the author of Emancipation: How liberating Europe’s Jews from the ghetto led to revolution and renaissance
