Peter Ungar
Hungarian Green Party councillor, second district, Budapest

After studying geography in Edinburgh University, Peter Ungar studied in the Central European University and is currently completing his education as a doctorate candidate in ELTE, University of Budapest. He won a prize in the national essay competition on Antall József, the first democratically-elected Prime Minister of Hungary and has published numerous articles in the Hungarian press about issues relating to trade, identity politics and geopolitics.

He joined the greens as a young activist in 2010 and returned to work on the party’s electoral campaign in 2014. He was later elected to serve on the executive committee of the European Green Party and started an online newspaper in Hungary last year called reflektor.hu.

His most important campaign activities relate to the anti-TTIP/CETA fight in Hungary.
