Wei Yang & Partners was founded in London in response to the diverse challenges of sustainable development worldwide. The company is driven by a commitment to promote design excellence, creating truly sustainable environments and liveable cities. Her company’s submission on 21st Century Garden City planning in Britain won the Finalist Award for the Wolfson Economics Prize 2014 from 279 entries worldwide.

Dr Wei Yang led the development of a Technical Manual for Green & Low-Carbon Development of Small Towns in China in 2015. The project was funded by UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office Strategic Prosperity Fund. She is currently leading the UK-China pilot towns programme on green and low-carbon development in China. The programme is jointly supported by British Embassy in China and the Chinese Ministry of Housing & Urban-Rural Development. The Technical Manual was published in April 2016.
