Dr Mark Betz
reader in film studies, Kings College London; author, Beyond the Subtitle: Remapping European art cinema

Mark Betz is a founding member of the Film Studies Department at King’s College London, where he has taught since 2001, including a Masters seminar on exploitation cinema. He is the author of Beyond the Subtitle: Remapping European art cinema (Minnesota University Press, 2009) as well as several articles and book chapters on postwar European cinema and film history, and in particular the interfaces between high and low aesthetics and taste cultures.
