Benjamin King
director of government relations, 21st Century Fox

Benjamin is responsible for policy development and political affairs at 21st Century Fox, one of the world’s largest media corporations. His current role focuses on the biggest public policy challenges – media regulation, freedom of speech and intellectual property – for the company’s film studio, television channels and production businesses across Europe. Happily this makes watching TV a professional necessity.

He has over a decade’s experience at the legislative intersection of content, technology, and the media, having been previously at News International – where he worked to shape the company’s response both to the debate on the future of press regulation and the Leveson Inquiry – and before that, at UK trade body the Publishers Association, where he led policy and advocacy for the association’s broad constituency.

Benjamin has a degree in Classics from Pembroke College, Cambridge.
